Biography

Draft for approval

Erik Uribe builds custom homes in Los Angeles. He co-founded Devco U. Development + Design + Build with Genesis Uribe, and as Field Operations Principal he leads the work on site: the crews, the self-performed trades, the order of each phase and the checks before it closes.

Devco U. began as Complete Solutions. It grew into a design-build firm where architecture, interior design, permitting, project management and construction run under one roof, with more than 30 years of combined experience across the team. For a homeowner, that means one team answers for the design, the permit set, the budget and the build.

For architects and interior designers, it means a builder who coordinates with them through construction documents and carries their intent into the field. The company calls this being a True Custom Builder: the people who plan the home are the people who build it.

Erik’s work includes finished homes on the Malibu coast, in Hollywood and in Beverly Hills, and current work on fire-damaged lots in Pacific Palisades and Malibu.

Values

The three core values Devco U. builds by.

Integrity & transparency

Honest, clear communication from the first meeting to the last inspection, so clients know what to expect and meet no surprises.

Craftsmanship & excellence

Every detail matters. Design and construction are held to a standard that leaves nothing short of an excellent result.

Innovation & integration

Every phase of the build is handled in-house, which removes friction and keeps control of quality, cost and timeline.

Approach to construction

How a project moves from the first conversation to the keys.

  1. 1

    Initial meeting

The goals, the site, the design team and the budget, talked through before anything is drawn or priced.

  2. 2

    Site evaluation

A visit to the property to study access, conditions, code and zoning, and what the lot will need.

  3. 3

    Detailed proposal

A written proposal that sets out scope, budget and schedule, so decisions are made with the numbers in hand.

  4. 4

    Design and permits

Plans move from schematic design to permit-ready drawings, with submittals and plan checks handled in-house.

  5. 5

    Build and closeout

In-house crews build the home phase by phase, with Erik in the field through final inspection and handover.
